At a time when water scarcity and glacier shrinkage are becoming increasingly pressing issues, two special events in the Engadin region invite you to reflect and marvel.

 

Public lecture: Ice and the scarcity of water

As part of the forum refurmo 2024/2025 cycle on the topic of Water, the Evangelical Reformed Parish of the Upper Engadine invites you to a public lecture focusing on current and future challenges relating to water.

During the lecture, Dr. Keller will talk about the following topics:

  1. The increasing scarcity of water
    2. may, should or must we preserve our glaciers for future generations?
    3. how can we ensure the quantity and quality of water?

The evening is open to everyone, whether they have specialist knowledge or are simply interested. Join in the discussion, ask questions and contribute your perspective.

 

Night hike in Ftan: Water, history and music in nature

Three days later, the theme of water can be experienced in a completely different way: at night, while hiking, with music and stories.

🎻 Music Swiss Ice Fiddlers

The Hotel Bellavista Ftan invites you to a very special night hike. Under the guidance of Dr. Felix Keller, the participants hike together through the nocturnal landscape around Ftan. First stop: the old mill, a historic site that tells us a lot about how water was used in the past. The route continues to the tranquil Laj Padnal, which unfolds a special peace and magic at night.

A unique atmosphere awaits you at the lake with Nordic string music from the Swiss Ice Fiddlers and the proFtan association welcomes you with a small drink.
