Save Pond Hockey kommt in die Schweiz

Save Pond Hockey is coming to Switzerland

Save Pond Hockey – Eishockey und Klimaschutz verbinden

Save Pond Hockey Save Pond Hockey is an international movement that combines ice hockey and climate protection. With tournaments on natural ice, they are setting an example for the preservation of natural ice surfaces – and at the same time supporting organisations that are actively committed to protecting these habitats. The movement arose out of concern for the disappearance of natural ice – the ice on which many people used to play. Since its launch in 2015, Save Pond Hockey has organised over 40 tournaments and supported countless organisations with donations.

We are thrilled that Save Pond Hockey has selected our foundation – the Cover Project Foundation – as the recipient of donations from the two Save Pond Hockey tournaments in Switzerland. These will be the first tournaments ever held in Switzerland.

Davos – 13 December 2025

At the Davos Eistraum, recreational and company teams compete against each other.

Zernez - 17. January 2026

The second tournament will take place on the natural ice rink in Runatsch. Additional teams are still being sought so that the event can go ahead.

Participate, forward, support

Do you know a team that would like to participate? Or would you like to take part in the tournament yourself? You can still register for both Swiss events – and more teams are urgently needed for the tournament in Zernez so that it can take place at all.

The best part: you don't have to be a pro. Anyone can join in! And if you don't have your own equipment, no problem – it will be provided on site. All that matters is enjoying the game and being motivated to do something together for climate protection.

By participating, you are supporting a good cause: all proceeds from the tournaments go to the Cover Project Foundation and are invested directly in projects to protect glaciers.

Your team will play at least three games in 4-on-4 mode without a goalie. We recommend at least six players per team—perfect for groups of friends, companies, or recreational teams.

Join in, register, or pass on the information—we look forward to seeing you!
