Save Pond Hockey Tournaments in Zernez & Davos – Sports and Engagement for Climate Protection
Yesterday, the second Save Pond Hockey tournament ever held in Switzerland took place in Zernez. Following its premiere in Davos, this tournament was also a great success. Players and spectators came together to enjoy ice hockey on natural ice.
Save Pond Hockey Save Pond Hockey is a global movement that unites the hockey community to take a stand against climate change. Tournaments on natural ice surfaces are not only about ice hockey, but also about experiencing nature, preserving winter sports traditions, and drawing attention to climate change.
These values fit perfectly with our work as a foundation. That is why Save Pond Hockey has once again chosen us, as it did for the tournament in Davos, to channel the proceeds from the tournament in Zernez directly into our projects. We use these funds to support glacier conservation and raise awareness of the consequences of climate change.
The tournaments in Davos and Zernez showed how sport, community, and commitment to the environment can work together. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the teams, helpers, and supporters for their valuable donations.
